Outlook for 2009
Message from Managing Director, Theo Dimopoulos.
As this is our inaugural edition to the Netsolutions Newsletter, I welcome you and look forward to seeing this communication providing you with valuable information and insight into market trends, offerings and how Netsolutions can help you address the many challenges you face.
If we take a moment to reflect, the last part of 2008 was an exciting time for Netsolutions Australia. After some major wins in Security, Networking and Managed Services, it has set the foundation for many more successes in 2009.
This last year also brought with it many rolling changes in our messaging, marketing and internal processes. We engaged in a substantial investment in our people and business systems. The key objective in implementing these changes is to improve our business practices as a whole, preparing for major growth in 2009 and onwards.
Our internal system changes included; a complete Disaster Recovery Solution incorporating a full high availability solution for our client facing and internal systems, the deployment of BMC Service Desk application; a full monitoring and Managed Services platform, Avaya IP telephony system for complete call management and the creation of a Security and Network Consultancy group.
Our advanced processes and systems will see our business continue to maintain it’s ethos and methodologies that are the core of our business values and strategy.
Today Netsolutions employs some of the most highly skilled Networking & Security Engineers and true experts in their field. We have completed some of the largest projects seen in the ANZ region and continue to be successful because we truly partner and provide real value to our clients in the services and professionalism we deliver.
As always Netsolutions prides itself on vendor relationships and loyalty. Many years ago we began the process to put in place a core vendor strategy that has resulted in loyal partnerships and strong relations with vendors Juniper Networks and IBM Australia.
The key to our success is to avoid competing technologies between our vendors and Netsolutions.
We have stringently steered away from being “vendor agnostic”, a term we hear from many channel partners. It is important to define what our business is and what our specialisations are in the market place. The risks associated with promoting multi vendor technologies is being just another reseller holding a deck of cards instead of backing core vendor solutions where core competencies exist.
At Netsolutions we are not opportunists but rather “deep dive” specialists in the vendor technologies we support and promote.
2009 will see many new technology releases from both Juniper Networks and IBM. In particular the core chassis based switches in the Juniper EX8200 series, the Juniper SRX firewall platform and Data Centre products. Stay tuned for more information.
All in all I look forward to an exciting year ahead of us and working together to plan and implement successful IT strategies that will help your organisation adapt to the changes of today and in the future.
